It’s Monday. Here in Illinois, we stumbled into August with a weekend that was more wet and gloomy than warm and sunny. As if all the rain wasn’t bad enough, it was downright chilly, too. The rain finally moved out on Sunday, but the clouds hung around and the cool temperatures never really left. It feels more like early Fall than the middle of Summer, and I’m definitely not liking this trend.

To make matters even worse, the NASCAR Cup Series had the weekend off, so I couldn’t get my usual racing fix. Instead, I headed over to the Crossroads Festival in Shorewood, Illinois, to check out the annual car show. It wasn’t a huge gathering, but there were still plenty of cool rides on display. I’ll share some of my favorites later in the week.
