Secret Mopar Horde

It’s Wednesday. The story goes something like this. A Houston widow recently uncovered a stunning secret: her late husband had spent decades quietly amassing a hidden collection of more than 70 Mopar and classic Chrysler vehicles on a remote piece of land. While a handful of cars were kept at home, the vast majority sat out of sight in a rural “barn find” that even his wife didn’t fully know existed. The collection—featuring rows of Plymouth Satellites, Dodge Coronets, and other vintage muscle—was built beginning in the early 2000s, with the owner purchasing land specifically to store his growing fleet and largely keeping the scope of it private.

Years of exposure to harsh Texas weather and wildlife have taken a toll, leaving many of the cars in rough condition with corrosion, damaged interiors, and chewed wiring. Now, the widow faces the enormous task of cataloging and clearing the property. Plans are underway to auction the vehicles and parts on-site, allowing buyers to see the collection firsthand. What was once a secret passion project is now becoming a major event for collectors, as these long-hidden project cars finally head to new owners and a chance at restoration.
