Back in the Day

It’s Wednesday. This is a real treat. One of my readers spotted this gorgeous 1929 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan while visiting I-79 Honda in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The Model A followed the legendary Model T and was built from late 1927 through 1931. Where the Model T kept things simple—famously offered in “any color so long as it’s black”—the Model A ushered in a new era of style, color options, and much-needed modernization for Ford.

Beneath its distinctive butterfly hood sits a 201 cubic inch (3.3L) L-head inline four-cylinder making around 40 horsepower. That was enough to push it to a top speed of about 65 mph—a major leap forward from its predecessor.

Thanks for sending in the photos, Kevin!
