It’s Friday! I knew it wouldn’t last. After months of wonderfully warm weather, it appears that things are changing. Much cooler weather is moving into Illinois and the realization of the impending Fall is crashing in. Summer ending feels like that last sip of a milkshake when the straw just makes sad slurping noises—you know the fun is over, but you keep sipping anyway hoping for one more taste. Flip-flops give way to big sweaters and football season, but let’s be honest—it’s really just a countdown to scraping frost off your windshield.
The Bears take on the Kansas City Chiefs tonight in their third preseason game. In NASCAR, the regular season wraps up in Daytona on Saturday night under the lights. I’m looking forward to that and then the playoffs begin the following week in Darlington, South Carolina!
Okay, let’s wrap this week up with a new reader submitted amateur photo and double babes & double jokes. Enjoy.

Keep, I see the amateur pictures that your readers send and they’re pretty great. My girlfriend recently had to leave for three days on business and sent me this gift from her hotel room. There were a few more that were more naughty, but I’ll hang on to those for now! Thank you for the work you do. A huge daily *anonymous* fan. -Anonymous
Great Weekend
We also spent time checking out Starved Rock. It’s one of those places where nature decided to show off a little. Tucked along the Illinois River, it’s a mix of towering sandstone bluffs, winding trails, and hidden waterfalls that make you feel like you accidentally wandered into a nature documentary. The name sounds a little dramatic—like something out of a survival story—but today it’s less about starvation and more about escaping civilization for some scenic outdoor fun.
The Bears preseason game on Friday night against the Chiefs was a struggle, but in the end they managed to pull off another win! The final score was 29-27. In two weeks the official season kicks off when they go up against the Vikings on September 8th.
And NASCAR wrapped up their regular season with the night race in Daytona. It was Ryan Blaney who outmaneuvered the rest of the field, taking the checkers and claiming his spot in the playoffs. It’s off to the Southern 500 in Darlington, South Carolina, next week to kick off the playoffs!
