It’s Friday. So sad to hear of the passing of Brian Wilson. I was lucky to see him perform back in 2015 at Ravinia in Highland Park, Illinois. The show was fantastic, something I’ll never forget. He was quite simply a musical genius and an undeniable master of harmony. I don’t think there will ever be another like him.
Paul McCartney said, “I loved him, and was privileged to be around his bright shining light for a little while. How we will continue without Brian Wilson, ‘God Only Knows.’”

My favorite of his songs, “In My Room” is below.
Brian Douglas Wilson, the co-founder and leader of the Beach Boys, died in 2025 at the age of 82. Wilson was the band’s primary songwriter and a pioneer in music, known for his creative control and use of the recording studio to create unique sounds. He transformed teen pop into a more poetic and modernist form, and some say his songs were intricately woven and distilled human emotions with artistic complexity.
Father’s Day
I hope all the Dad’s had a good Father’s Day yesterday. We had beautiful weather all weekend long. It was actually hot, which was really nice. Had a cookout, caught a car show, and ordered some new rubber for the Vette. Sure hope we can keep the heat coming all week long!
