It’s Monday. That was a really nice weekend. Had dinner with a friend Friday night at Lock & Mule in Lockport, Illinois. The weather was beautiful so we were able to eat outside. Even had a flight of craft beer, which was very tasty.
On Saturday we got a break from the humidity so we spent the day out in the Vette. Had a great time driving along the Illinois river and checking out some of the small towns along the way. Got home in time to catch the night race in Atlanta, which was a hell of a wild race! I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a race that much in quite a while. Next weekend Nascar returns to Chicago for the street race. I’ll watch it from home this time.
On Sunday the extreme heat and humidity returned. The Vette got fairly dirty during our trip on Saturday, so I thought I’d wash it up. That was a horrible idea. I was out there for a couple hours and I had to stop. It was just too damn hot. I managed to clean the front and the wheels, but that was it. The rest will have to wait until the heat and humidity breaks. I spent the rest of my Sunday indoors… in the air conditioning!
