Tangerine Greenwood

It’s Wednesday. One of my readers came across a rare item Costa Rica—a C4 Corvette. And not just any Corvette, this is what’s known as a Greenwood Corvette. The Greenwood brothers were well known as aftermarket builders who offered performance enhancing packages for the Corvette. Improvements to the suspension, engine, aerodynamics, an even sound deadening—they pretty much did it all. Seeing one of these in out in Costa Rica is definitely a rare treat.

And this is probably a first, but along with the Corvette photos featured below, is also an amateur photo. Enjoy!

Hey Keep – viewer since the beginning and third time contributor. I’ve got a Costa Rican double header for you today! Thought you might like this goodness. I don’t see many Corvettes here on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica – this actually may be the first in eight years of living here – so I had to snap this for you. Maybe it will get you down here! Sweet ground effects on this baby and I love the color – the lighting under the mango tree makes the car look like it’s on fire. And… I threw in a little amateur goodness from one of my Tica amigas. I love the color of her too and she can be fiery! Probably obvious why I love living here…Now…if I only had a joke.. -Anonymous

Christmas Car Tree

It’s Monday. We spent the majority of the weekend decorating our Christmas tree and a few other things around the house. I also set up my Christmas Car Tree which features three new ornaments this year. I usually start checking eBay for new car ornaments around Thanksgiving and this year I found the three in the photo above. The C8 on the left is a brand new Hallmark ornament this year, but the ’67 and ’57 were made a while back but are new to my collection. A couple years ago I bought a 4-foot pre-lit tree specifically for my ever increasing car ornament collection. I don’t know how many I currently have, but as you can see from the other photo, there isn’t much room remaining on the tree. That’s going to have to do for now.

While we were decorating we caught a few holiday classic movies like It’s A Wonderful Life, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty The Snowman, and A Christmas Carol. I still need to catch The Year Without A Santa Claus, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Christmas Vacation, Krampus, The Night Before, White Christmas, and Elf. Since Apple now owns all of the Peanuts specials, A Charlie Brown Christmas will air only once on PBS, Sunday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET. That’s a lot to watch before December 25th but I’ll give it a shot.

Okay, and from the What-The-Hell-Did-You-Expect File, the Bears played the Cardinals and lost. Jeez.

Hot soup and a grilled cheese sandwich… nice way to wrap up the weekend.
