LEGO Black Sabbath

It’s Thursday. Consider my mind blown. Never in a million years would I have expected to see Black Sabbath get their own LEGO set! This new set honors Black Sabbath as they prepare to play their final show on July 5th in Birmingham, England. The mini-fig of Ozzy is actually pretty good, but missing his tattoos! Check out the story below.

LEGO Transforms Legendary Rock Band Into Custom Set

LEGO is ready to rock!

The popular building toy brand is also home to a chain of global theme parks and resorts, and that’s where fans will have to go to find this signature Black Sabbath LEGO build.

Days ahead of the legendary rock band’s last show, LEGO unveiled its “miniature metalheads” lookalike set that preemptively recreates Black Sabbath’s final performance at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on Saturday, July 5.

The brick-built Black Sabbath scene stars a mic-wielding Ozzy Osbourne, complete with his signature round specs and long, dark hair, and “just the right amount of mischief.”
It also features a complete recreation of the Villa Park stage, even including stained glass window details above the stage, a massive LEGO-made sound system, and, of course, the current lineup of Black Sabbath: Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums).

“Black Sabbath are true Birmingham icons, and this felt like the perfect way to honour their final hometown show,” said Amy Langham, general manager of LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Birmingham, in a statement shared with Parade. “Our Master Model Builders had great fun bringing Ozzy and the band to life in LEGO® form – and we hope it strikes a chord with Sabbath fans young and old.”

Those looking to see the band reimagined as a custom LEGO set can do so, but only over the pond at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Birmingham, where it will be on display in Miniland to honor the iconic Birmingham landmarks and legends long after their last show, living there permanently.
