It’s Wednesday. Welcome to 2025! I hope everyone made it to 2025 without too much trouble. I don’t know what’s ahead but my hope for everyone is good health, friends, and maybe a little fun.

This website has now entered its 30th year of operation and will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary on October 26th. I honestly can’t believe I’ve been running it that long. Pretty wild for something I started just to see if I could do it. What happens next is anyone’s guess.

It’s Tuesday. Here we go, 2025 is knocking at the door so it’s time to get started on that list of New Years resolutions! Seriously, does anyone really do that anymore? I don’t think that I’ve ever written a list of resolutions—and if I did, I greatly doubt that I ever stuck to any of them.

We’re headed to a pizza party tonight with a group of friends. Nothing crazy, just a bunch of pizza and beer. Remember, if you’re hitting it hard tonight please arrange for a ride. Uber is a hell of a lot cheaper that a DUI or a lifetime of regret. Be safe, have a good time, and I’ll see ya in 2025!

It’s Monday. It was a gloomy rainy weekend here in Illinois. One would expect it to be snow at this time of year, but not so. Instead we have spring-like temperatures in the 50s and rain all day long. Weird.

Had a very lazy weekend. A buddy and I went and saw Nosferatu on Saturday afternoon. I had never seen the 1922 original, but this latest version was creepy as hell. That night the girlfriend and I went out for one last Christmas lights cruise. We went out many times over the past 4 weeks and each time we were surprised that so many had chosen to decorate their homes over the holidays. We really enjoyed seeing so many creative displays.

On Sunday while she was baking banana bread and making Italian Sausage & Lentil soup (both were fantastic!), we watched the AKC Dog Show and just enjoyed taking it easy at home. Not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Oh, and then there are the Bears. They had played and lost on Thursday night, so they didn’t play Sunday. They have only one game remaining and it’s against the Packers, so that’ll be disappointing for sure. I’m greatly looking forward to Nascar returning in February.

Well, I have off until Thursday so I’ll be sleeping in!
