Sunday Sports

It’s Monday. And there you have it—the 2024 Nascar season is over and Joey Logano is now the 2024 Cup Series Champion. Logano was able to win the final race in Phoenix, beating other playoff drivers Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and William Byron. It was a good race with a dramatic end that had Blaney nearly running Logano down in the final laps. The season has only been over for a few hours now and I’m already feeling Nascar withdrawal symptoms.

And then there are the Chicago Bears. As I predicted, they lost to the Patriots and did so painfully. They played badly. So very badly. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was sacked so many times it was almost laughable. The final score was only 19-3 but that doesn’t even come close to revealing the disfunction in this team. For some reason the Bears always find a way to kill young, talented quarterbacks.

Amateur Selfie

It’s Friday! Other than meeting a friend for dinner tonight, I don’t think I have any big plans for the weekend. Although, now that the Vette is in storage, it may be a good time to clean out the garage. It’s dirty and practically every leaf in the neighborhood has somehow accumulated in the back. Sounds like a plan.

Nascar will wrap up the 2024 season in Phoenix on Sunday. I was hoping to see Kyle Larson take the Championship, but he’s had more than his share of bad luck lately. It looks like the smart money is on the 2023 champ, Ryan Blaney.

Once Nascar is done, all I’ll have left for Sunday entertainment are the Bears. They play the Patriots Sunday afternoon and will lose in some new and disappointing manner. Just watch and you’ll see.

Double babes and double jokes… enjoy!

Moving Forward?

It’s Thursday. Well, we’re stuck with the orange jesus for the next four years. It’s proof of the old saying by Nazi Joseph Goebbels, “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”. So be it.

Anyway, I put the Corvette into storage for the winter yesterday. I think this is probably the latest that I’ve ever waited to put it away. Generally it goes into storage in early October, but we had an unusually warm October so we were able to use it longer. It was sad to see go, but it won’t be long now before the horrid white stuff starts to fall.
