It’s Tuesday. Even though it’s late April and spring is in full swing, the cruel bitch that is Mother Nature has decided to put several inches of the horrid white stuff into the forecast for today. It won’t stick around for long, but it’ll certainly make for a nasty mess. That’s spring in Illinois.

I’ve been really missing car shows lately. They were all cancelled last year due to the pandemic and it’s still too early around here, so I thought it would be cool to repost some automotive goodness from the Super Chevy Show back in the summer of 2019. Hopefully we’ll get some new photos very soon, but until then, enjoy a few of my favorites below.

It’s Monday. It warmed up just enough to enjoy being outdoors over the weekend. I was out with a buddy on Saturday and we enjoyed a late lunch outside at Ace Drive-In, a place I have been going to every summer since I was a little kid. It’s standard drive-in food but the root beer makes it all worth it. On Sunday the girlfriend and I went to a family cookout. It was a birthday celebration for three family members who all have birthdays in April. The food was awesome and we all had a great time. And, thankfully there was plenty leftover which means ribs for dinner again tonight!

It’s Sunday! America doesn’t have a gun problem, it has several. After the recent mass shooting at a FedEx warehouse in Indianapolis, Americans are once again discussing our country’s unique relationship with guns. This video doesn’t attempt to solve the problem. Instead it examines what American gun violence looks like compared with the rest of the world, why it happens, and why it remains such a difficult problem to fix.
