It’s Monday. The weekend started out with extreme heat & humidity, got stormy, and then the humidity eased up. However, the heat continued and it was pretty steamy. In other words, very typical Illinois summer weather.
I went to a cookout on Saturday night just before the storm rolled in. It was kept simple with only hot dogs, Italian sausage, chips, and beer. No complaints here. Everything was tasty and the storm moved out quickly, so that was good timing.
With the Olympics being covered by NBC over the next two weeks, that means Nascar is on hold until the games wrap up. I like watching the Olympics, but damn, no racing for two weeks?
Sunday was awesome. Spent most of it outdoors just taking it easy and reading. I love summer.

It’s All About the View
It’s Tuesday. I have a buddy that has been spending a lot of time out in Colorado. Ever since Covid-19 closed his office in Chicago, he’s been bouncing from his place in the city to his brother’s place out in Colorado. Like so many these days, it doesn’t really matter where he works from now. And as it turns out, he’s really taken to the outdoor lifestyle that Colorado has to offer. It didn’t take long before he decided to put down some roots. Now he ‘s waiting on the completion of a condo he purchased. I can’t say how long he’ll keep his place in Chicago, he may not even know yet. But judging from this recent photo of his current “workspace”, I get the feeling he’s not in any hurry.
