Christmas Day

It’s Wednesday. We had a nice get-together yesterday with my girlfriend’s side of the family throughout the afternoon. We then spent the evening over at my parent’s place for dinner. There was lots of good food, drinks, and plenty of goodies. Not a bad way to spend Christmas Eve.

Today we’re having my girlfriend’s kids over in the morning to open presents. And later in the afternoon we’ll be back at my parent’s place for Christmas lasagna. In case you were wondering what a Christmas lasagna is, it’s just a normal lasagna that we happen to eat on Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Christmas Eve

It’s Tuesday. Well, here it is. Christmas Eve has arrived and you know what that means—time to start your Christmas shopping! Seriously, if you haven’t already started then it’s time to get moving.

We have a busy day planned. My girlfriend’s side of the family is coming in today around noon for lunch and gifts. This will be even more people than we had a couple weeks ago, so saying it’s going to be tight would be an understatement.

Once that’s over, we head over to my parent’s place for dinner and gifts around 5 PM. So, yeah, it’s going to be a long day.

Have a good Christmas Eve everyone.

Yuck

It’s Monday. Hey, it’s the eve of Christmas Eve. Is that even a thing? Here in Illinois we got some of the horrid white stuff over the weekend. It was supposed to warm up and melt, but there’s still some out there. And it’s still cold.

The girlfriend and I have been going out on Christmas Light cruises and watching Christmas movies. We’ve seen Home Alone and Home Alone 2, Charlie Brown Christmas, Christmas Vacation, How The Grinch Stole Christmas (original & Jim Carrey version), Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, The Year Without A Santa Claus, Prep & Landing 1 & 2, Ice Age Christmas, Klaus, and A Christmas Carol. There’s still a few more left on my list yet.

Good news for all my fellow Northern Hemisphere winter haters… the days are once again getting longer!
