It’s Tuesday. The day started out cloudy and cool but before long it cleared up and got nice and toasty! We spent the entire day out by the pool snacking on chips, salsa, queso and margaritas. I managed to get a pretty good sunburn despite wearing sunscreen. It must be my pale white Illinois winter skin, eh?

It was really nice waking up to the sound of the waves coming in off the Gulf. I could get used to that.

It’s Monday. we made it down to Panama City Beach yesterday and got a place on the strip overlooking the beach. There are two wildfires currently burning in the area, but I haven’t seen them. I’m guessing the wind coming off the Gulf is blowing it east and away from us. The plan is to spend a couple days and then we’re off to Orlando for a few days. After that its further south to Punta Gorda.

But for now I’m looking forward to getting some sun and seafood!
