It’s Thursday. I’m not a huge Ford fan. I like the Mustang but I don’t like that they used the Mustang name for their new electric SUV called the Mustang Mach-E. I’m all for new electric vehicles, especially with today’s inflated gas prices, but why put the Mustang nameplate on their new SUV?

One of my readers sent in the photo featured today of a Mustang Mach-E (right) that he saw at his local Ford dealership. The electric future is here—sorta—because but if you want one of these then you may be waiting for up to a year! Thanks for taking the time to send it in, Jim!

Keep, I was at the local Ford dealer today getting the 10K mile service for my car. They had 1 e-Mustang on the showroom floor but there was a sign on it “Sold Do Not Touch”. They told me it would take a year to get one. -Jim

It’s Wednesday. Well, all my bitching about the mild summer weather here in Illinois has apparently been heard by Mother Nature. Not only is it hot and humid here in Illinois, but pretty much EVERYWHERE else with the exception of Canada, which everyone knows has only three days of summer sometime in July.

Actually, the heat isn’t the problem. Sure, it’s super-hot, but it’s the excessive humidity that makes it so uncomfortable. Still, I’ll take this over the cold any day. Keep it coming!

It’s Tuesday. Last week a buddy and I checked out a weekly car show in Plainfield, Illinois. We started out by getting some BBQ at Station One Smokehouse. We’ve both eaten there before and enjoy their pulled pork and smoked turkey. If smoked BBQ isn’t your thing, no problem because there’s plenty of other places to eat.

After stuffin’ our guts we walked it off checking out all the automotive goodness! I don’t know how many cars were there, but they regularly pack just about every available space over four blocks or so. If you come out on Tuesday nights you won’t be disappointed.
