It’s Friday! We have more rain in the forecast for today but there’s a huge change coming for us next week. They claim Illinois will warm up into the 80s starting Monday. It seems too good to be true, so I’m not going to get overly excited just yet.

Well, it’s Mother’s Day this Sunday so if you’re lucky enough to still have her in your life, be sure to let her know how much you care this Sunday. You can’t go wrong with flowers, so that’s my plan. Anything nice smelling, bright, and colorful should be perfect.

It’s Thursday. Yesterday was May the 4th, otherwise known as “May the 4th be with you.” Or “Star Wars Day.” Back in 2015 Meteorologist Sian Welby loaded up her forecast with clever Star Wars references—give it a watch and see how many you can catch.

It’s Wednesday. With Mother Nature still unwilling to commit to spring here in Illinois, it may be a while before summer toys come out to play around here. Thankfully spring is progressing in other areas because Tom, a reader with a keen eye, caught this striking 7th generation Corvette Z06 parked in the lot at his local golf course. Very nice! One thing is for sure—even if it’s owner had a bad day out on the links, he’ll have a big grin on his face driving this black beauty home!
