Holidays

It’s Monday. With Thanksgiving and Black Friday now well behind us, we started putting up some of our Christmas decorations. Nothing crazy, just a few things in the house and some lights outside. I also started setting up my car tree. For those of you who are new to my website, every year I put up a special tree that I put all my car ornaments on. Many years ago I started collecting various Corvette ornaments. I started out putting them on our Christmas tree, but over the years the collection grew to the point that I had to give them their own tree. This year I picked up three more; a ’56 Corvette, a ’65 Corvette, and Lightning McQueen from the Cars movie. I’ll put up a photo of the tree when I get it done.

Well, the Bears performed as expected in their game against the Jets on Sunday. Yes, you guessed it—they sucked. With our quarterback Justin Fields out for the season, our backup propelled the team to new levels of suck. Actually, it wasn’t all his fault. Nope, this was once again a team effort.

The Race Is On

It’s Friday! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Mine was very tasty. I brought home a few extra slices of pumpkin pie because, well, it’s awesome. And now that Thanksgiving is in the rearview mirror, that means the race to Christmas is on. If you’re one of those crazed nutcases that likes to do the whole black Friday thing, then today is your day. I hate shopping even on a normal day, so there’s no way in hell you’ll catch me out there among the crazies today. I’ll be hanging out at home taking it easy while enjoying a nice big turkey sandwich, and of course, some pumpkin pie!

Double babes & double jokes… enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s Thursday. Happy turkey day everyone! Like many of you I’m looking forward to a big tasty feast this afternoon with friends and family. But before that, I have a tradition of my own which is my annual viewing of the 1987 John Hughes Thanksgiving classic, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I don’t know how many years that I’ve been watching this movie every Thanksgiving day, but let’s just say that I’ve wore out two VHS tapes before switching to DVD and then moving on to Blu-ray. That’s a hell of a lot of viewings, but like all of John Hughes films, it has laughter, some pain, and plenty of heart. And that never gets old. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
