Back Home in Illinois

It’s Monday. I spent most of our last day in Florida out on our balcony overlooking the Gulf reading The Complete Calvin & Hobbes Box Set. It’s a four-volume collection of the full run of Bill Watterson’s comic strip Calvin & Hobbes that ran in daily newspapers from 1985 to 1996. It was perfect for a lazy afternoon of just hanging outside and enjoying the sun and beach. It’s probably my all-time favorite comic strip, right up there with Bloom County. It was a nice last day in what was a perfect week of sun, beach, relaxation, great food, and plenty of drinks. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

The return trip home was smooth with only a couple redirects due to construction. And as always, I’d like to say that it’s good to be home, but that would be a big-fat-smelly lie.

Amateur Goodness Friday

It’s Friday! That was a quick week for me but isn’t that how it always goes while on vacation? We had a great time down here. The weather was perfect, the seafood tasty, and the many margaritas went down very nicely. On Saturday we’ll be putting Panama City Beach in the rearview mirror and heading back to Illinois. Not looking forward to that but what can ya do, eh?

To wrap up the week I’m featuring the usual double babes & double jokes with three amateur photos from one of my readers! Not a bad deal, right? Enjoy and I’ll talk to everyone on Monday from back in Illinois!

Sunset

It’s Thursday. We had dinner at a place called Uncle Ernie’s Bayfront Grill in Panama City the other night. The margaritas weren’t very good but the food was mighty tasty. I had the shrimp and it was very good. Also, the house salad was very good, too. We had a waterfront table that revealed a killer sunset. There was a guy leaving in his sailboat that made for a perfect photo opportunity. Good food with one hell of a view over the bay. Can’t ask for much more… except maybe better tasting margaritas!
