It’s Monday. The weekend weather was absolutely spectacular—and honestly, it’s been gorgeous for the past couple weeks. On Sunday we took the Vette for a scenic drive up to Lake Holiday, Illinois, a charming community built around a picturesque 328-acre man-made lake between Sandwich and Somonauk. The lake and the homes lining its shore were stunning. I’d love to have a place there for the summer. Anyone wanting to help make that possible can make their way over to the donation section.
One thing that caught my eye on the drive up was how many homes were already decked out for Halloween. We were especially surprised by this one we spotted in Sandwich, Illinois. Despite the exterior being under renovation, the owners still managed to find the time to put up the Halloween decorations!
One last thing… I recorded the Bears game against the Lions and watched it when we got home. Now I wish I hadn’t. It was brutal for the Bears with a final score of 21-52.
