It’s Monday. From bitch-ass cold to sunny and in the 50s—Mother Nature can’t seem to make up her mind here in Illinois.

The weekend went by quickly for me. We did a lot more work on my home office, I caught the Nascar race in Atlanta, and I worked on my taxes. I probably should’ve waited on preparing my taxes. The way things are going with our government these days, there may not be an IRS department to send them into.

Going down to Florida at the end of the week. We’re hoping to get some warmer temperatures, sun, and some beach time. Looking forward to that.

It’s Friday! We’ve been dealing with some bitch-ass cold weather for over a week now and it’s getting really annoying. I’m growing tired of high winds and salt covered roads. It’s so bad that my van looked like it was dipped into a vat of monkey snot. I usually like to wash our cars myself, but the weather has been so nasty that I relented and took it through a local car wash. Much, much better.

I’ve found one way to help deal with the extreme cold is comfort food. The girlfriend made a pot of chili the other night and it was fantastic. There’s nothing better after a cold winter day than a belly full of warm chili. And, why not follow that up with a cup of hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps! It doesn’t shorten the winter, but it certainly helps make it a little more tolerable.

Nascar is back and this weekend they’re in Atlanta. Looking forward to getting back into the racing groove!

Hey, whadda ya know, Musk misread social security data and millions of dead people aren’t getting benefits after all. Didn’t see that coming.
