It’s Tuesday. I used to do a lot of PC gaming. I played a lot of strategy games, tower defense games, but my favorite games were racing simulations. In racing games generally the goal is to be first. But to win the race you often have to take very good care of your race car. Beat it up, even just a little, and you pay the price in handling and speed. But then a game called Wreckfest came along and suddenly racing got dirty. The objective completely changed. Instead of keeping your car clean and free of damage, you purposely used it as a weapon to destroy your opponents before they destroy you. Think vehicular mayhem and Demolition Derby, it was just like that. I played the hell out of Wreckfest and loved every destruction-filled minute of it. “Drive hard, die last” was their motto.
Fast forward 7 years and Wreckfest 2 has been announced and comes to early access next month on March 20th! Check out the Wreckfest 2 trailer above to see it in action. All I have to say is, take my money, please!
