It’s Tuesday. I finally got around to setting up my Christmas Car Tree for 2024. I was hoping to get another year of use out of my existing 3-foot tree, but a few days ago my girlfriend brought home a new pre-lit 4-foot tree. It was time to upgrade whether I liked it or not. The problem is I keep increasing the number of car ornaments every year. This year I picked up three new cars: The 1966 Batmobile, the 1958 Plymouth Fury “Christine”, and a 1968 Corvette Stingray. As of this year the total amount of my car ornaments has risen to 43. And with the new tree I should be good for several more years. Hopefully.

It’s Monday. We had my girlfriend’s family over yesterday and it went very well. She made her own Italian beef sandwiches, chicken sliders, and a variety of sides and desserts. The food was really good, everyone had a good time, and no one left hungry. Not a bad day.

The Bears played the 49ers Sunday afternoon and lost 13-38. The Bears demonstrated brief moments of life, but they were fleeting. It was just another miserable loss. Nascar returns in February and it couldn’t come fast enough for me.

There’s a house in my neighborhood that decorates for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. One way or another they always work skeletons in to their display. In the past I’ve featured photos from their Halloween and Thanksgiving displays, so I thought it was time to share a couple photos from their Christmas display. I absolutely love it!

It’s Friday! It continues to be damn cold and windy. Thankfully we have yet to get any of the horrid white stuff. It’s only a matter of time now though.

The girlfriend invited a bunch of her side of the family up here for a big dinner on Sunday. We don’t usually have large gatherings at our place because it’s just the two of us here, so we don’t have a very huge place. The way I see it, it’ll either be cozy and fun or crammed and horribly uncomfortable. No matter what it should be interesting. That reminds me, I gotta remember to hide my M&Ms Sunday morning.

Still no Nascar yet.
