It’s Friday! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. The girlfriend and I had our feast over at my mom’s place. It didn’t quite go as planned because my sister was very late, which made dinner late, which was ready hours before. After we ate I had some pumpkin pie that didn’t taste right. Ended up getting sick. Not my best Thanksgiving.

And so it begins. I’ve never been a Black Friday shopper, so you won’t find me out among the crowds storming the mall today. I’m far more comfortable doing my Christmas shopping online. Might have to get started on that soon.

It’s Thursday. Well, here it is, Thanksgiving time again. A time to gather with family and friends to eat large amounts of turkey, pumpkin pie, and cranberries in the shape of a can. It’s a time for traditions. One of mine is watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles every Thanksgiving morning. As with any tradition, it takes several years to form. I’ve lost count of how many years I’ve been watching it, but it would likely be when it was released on VHS. And back in the day, movies didn’t typically go to video until roughly a year after their theatrical release. So, it was released in theaters in 1987, which means it wouldn’t have shown up on video until 1988. If you do the math, it was a hell of a long time ago! Damn, I’m getting old.
