Adam’s Family

It’s Wednesday. I came across this Halloween display in someone’s front window the other night. Having just watched both of the Adam’s Family movies a few nights ago, I quickly recognized the character on the left as a homemade Cousin It. Whoever made it did a fantastic job. It was even lighted, but I couldn’t tell if it was lit internally, externally, or both. Either way, it was pretty cool.

And then there was the thing on the right. No, not Thing, but a tree of some sorts that looked very much like a Christmas Tree! What the hell, eh?

Midwest Haunters Convention

It’s Tuesday. The Midwest Haunters Convention was held back in June in Rosemont, Illinois. The guys over at Halloween Eye did a walk-through that shows off some of the latest in everything creepy! Halloween props, animatronics, costumes, scare actors, haunts, and SFX makeup… check it out!

Creepy Scene

It’s Monday. After attending a family dinner Saturday night at my parent’s country club, the girlfriend and I went for another Halloween drive. We checked out a few of the neighborhoods near the club and found a few really cool displays. The one featured above was our favorite with two 18-foot skeletons towering above a graveyard full of ghouls and beasts.

We’ve also been watching some of our favorite Tim Burton spooky films like Sleepy Hallow, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and Sweeny Todd. Next up will be Beetlejuice and a few others like Ghostbusters, Halloween, and maybe The Exorcist.

Damn, I’m running low on Candy Corn. Gotta pick some up to get me through ’til Halloween…
