It’s Monday. Bike show? Nope. It’s the parking lot of Boondocks, a restaurant/bar in Seneca, Illinois. And that was just one row of bikes… there were many, many more. Also in the parking lot was this ’74 Red Corvette just soaking up the sun all by itself.

The girlfriend and I took the Vette out all day Sunday and cruised along the Illinois river.  It was a perfect day for a drive with temps in the upper 70s and plenty of sun. In addition to Boondocks, we also made stops in Channahon for their Three Rivers Festival, had a beer at Snug Harbor in Marseilles, drove through Illini State Park, and grabbed some food at Corleone’s in Morris.

And speaking of Morris, Illinois, I was there Saturday night for their Cruise Night. They had a record turnout with 1,013 registered cars! It was an absolute blast! I’ll feature my photos from the show later this week.

Very tired, should sleep well tonight.

It’s Friday! We’re heading into the weekend and here in Illinois the weather is looking great. I’m talkin’ low 80s with no humidity! That sounds perfect for the Morris, Illinois, cruise night on Saturday. Bad weather had ruined the first one in June and July, so I’m looking forward to getting out there and taking in all the automotive goodness!

And speaking of automotive goodness, that’s exactly what I have featured for today. I checked out the weekly car show at Babe’s Hot Dogs in Joliet on Wednesday night. and snapped a whole bunch of photos. I put my favorites into a gallery that you can view below.

It’s Thursday. Where’s the Harrier? I have another hidden photo challenge featured today. In this one your mission is to locate a single Harrier Jet somewhere in the photo on the right. I admit that it wasn’t easy but I did find it. How long did it take me? To spare myself the embarrassment, I’m going to keep that to myself! So go ahead and give it a try.
