Bleh

It’s Monday. Woke up Saturday morning with a sore throat. It was angry, inflamed and pissed off. I ended up at a local quick care to get some drugs to help kick it in the ass. By Sunday morning it was gone. Slightly red but no pain or discomfort whatsoever. I’m not complaining, but weird.

After six days of extreme heat & humidity our heatwave finally broke on Sunday. The week ahead looks like mostly 80s so that’ll be a relief.

I spent most of the day Sunday watching the race in New Hampshire. A six hour race due to numerous cautions and a rain delay. Uggh. It was Christopher Bell who took the checkers and he did it on rain tires. Next week Nascar will be in music city—Nashville!

Automotive Goodness

It’s Friday! This is day 6 of the heatwave in Illinois. Now it’s not supposed to dip below 90 degrees until Sunday. Even then 88 degrees isn’t exactly a huge relief.

I was able to check out the weekly car show in Plainfield last Tuesday. Now it was exceptionally hot & humid, so I wasn’t surprised to see fewer than usual cars. However, there were plenty of people, so go figure. I was able to get some decent shots that I put into an easy-to-view gallery below. By the way, if you find yourself at a show in your area, snap a few photos and send ’em in!

So that’s it for me. Enjoy the double babes, double jokes, and a whole bunch of automotive goodness!

Another Joker

It’s Thursday. And the heat and humidity heatwave continues into day 5. I took a break from working early afternoon and went outside to read for a bit. That lasted only 20 minutes. It was just too damn sticky out there.

The follow-up to the 2019 film Joker is scheduled for release in October. It’s called Joker: Folie à Deux and it has been done as a musical. Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as the killer clown during the beginning stages of his twisted romance with Harley Quinn, who is played by Lady Gaga. Strange? Probably an understatement.
