It’s Monday. Meet Harvey, he’s a baby Praying Mantis. I was outside Saturday afternoon when I saw what I thought was a blade of grass stuck to the lower part of the driver-side window on my van. When I approached I realized that it was actually a tiny Praying Mantis. They’re somewhat common here in Illinois but I don’t generally see them until early Fall. And this was the first time that I’d ever seen a baby Mantis. He stuck around for a while, but when I looked for him later after dinner, he had moved along… presumably to do important Praying Mantis stuff.

It was a no Nascar Sunday due to the Olympics. And speaking of the Olympics, I know there was some controversy concerning the opening ceremonies, but all that aside, I thought it came across kinda cheap looking. After seeing Beijing in 2022, I guess I was expecting Paris to top that—and they didn’t even come close. The games have been good, though.

Okay, time to get back into work mode I guess…

It’s Friday! We’ve had some very cool weather around here lately. Thankfully it’s supposed to warm up by the weekend, so I’m liking that. Looking forward to dropping the top on the Vette and going out for a spin.

With the Olympics now underway, Nascar goes on break. That means no races for the next two weeks. I’m already experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Okay, today I have the usual Friday double babes and double jokes. I also have a new amateur photo. I debated whether to feature this photo because it’s a tad blurry, but ultimately relented because he apparently has waited quite a while to submit one. If you squint it looks a little sharper. Anyway, have a good weekend!

It’s Thursday. This is the Jetson ONE. I’ve featured several videos documenting its development, but this is the first cockpit view released of a full flight. Jetson says they are redefining personal transportation and that everybody can be a pilot. You be the judge. Check out this video of the Jetson ONE taking a 9-minute round-trip flight over the Tuscany countryside.
