It’s Monday. Ughh. My girlfriend got a cold about a week  ago. Despite her best attempts to spare me, I started coming down with it Friday morning. It’s not bad so far, but after three days of minimal symptoms I’m waiting for the hammer to fall. Watch, it’ll hit me hard just before Thanksgiving.

I should just reserve this space in my Monday update for discussing how badly the Bears played on Sunday. Actually, this week was highly unusual because they put up a decent fight against the Vikings. Of course, it ended in another heartbreaking loss, but that has become the norm. Is it Nascar yet? Please?

The girlfriend is making Lasagna soup and the entire house smells amazing! I may hate this time of the year, but damn, comfort food like that does manage to help soften the blow.

It’s Friday! Well, it finally happened. We got our first snowfall of the season yesterday. It was coming down pretty hard for a few hours but only accumulated to roughly an inch or so. It was just enough to cover the grass. The ground isn’t frozen yet so it will likely melt by the next day.

No Nascar means all I get for entertainment is the Bears on Sunday. Sadly, by entertainment I mean watching the Bears get raped by the Vikings. It’s going to be bad.

It’s Thursday. I was listening to a podcast interview with auto designer Chip Foose the other day. They were discussing Chip’s childhood and how his father was his biggest influence growing up. Chip mentioned that his father was involved in building a groundbreaking 1960s custom car known as The Reactor. Chip even remembered riding in at as a child. In addition to touring the US in custom car shows, it was used in television shows like Bewitched, Star Trek, and Batman. I had never seen or heard of The Reactor before, so I looked it up and found the video featured above. Check it out if yer interested!
