It’s Thursday. I’ve seen a lot of videos of various people test-driving the new C8 Corvette, but this is the first POV drive that I’ve seen and it’s pretty damn cool. The sound of that new 6.2L LT2 V8 engine is better than any stereo system they could possibly put in a car. And with headphones or earbuds on, you’ll feel like you’re actually sitting in the driver’s seat because the audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones.

More Amateur Goodness!
NASCAR is doing another double-header this weekend at the Dover International Speedway, but the big news is in Indianapolis. The Indy 500 will be run for the first time without fans in the stands this Sunday on August 23rd. And for the first time in 33 years, an Andretti will be starting the race from the pole. Marco Andretti, the grandson of the 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner Mario Andretti, will lead the entire field and I’ll definitely be watching.
