It’s Thursday. Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s son, has released his debut single, Distance, from his solo band Mammoth WVH. Wolfgang plays all instruments and sings, calling Distance a deeply personal tribute to his late father, Eddie Van Halen. The Distance video features home video footage of Wolfgang, Eddie, and mother Valerie from his childhood years through recent tours with Van Halen. It ends with a heartfelt voicemail from Eddie.

While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life. I never intended ‘Distance’ to be the very first piece of music people would hear from me, but I also thought my father would be here to celebrate its release. This is for him. I love and miss you, Pop.” – WVH

Proceeds from “Distance” will be donated to Pop’s favorite charity, Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation MHOpus.org

 
It’s Wednesday. Since launching a long-shot effort to overturn the election results through baseless claims of voter fraud, President Trump has suffered a barrage of court losses and setbacks in several states across the country. Only recently acknowledging the reality that Biden has indeed won the election, President Trump has vowed to never concede and is also actively blocking the transition like a little bitch. So, the Tonight Show put together this clip, calling it The Concession Speech We All Deserve.

It’s Tuesday. Normally my Vette would’ve been tucked away for its winter slumber by now, but we recently had a 7 day string of 70+ degree weather that was unprecedented for Illinois in November. So, it sits in the garage waiting for its last wash before being put to bed for the winter.

One of my readers recently welcomed another Corvette into his family. This one is a Rosso Corsa Red ’81 that goes by the nickname of Red Hot Chili Pepper. It features some custom blended ground effects that give this early 80s vintage ride a fresh look. The only question now is, what will be number 3?

Hey, keep, hope you & lady faring well. Wanted to share couple of pics of my girlfriends. The ’75 you’ve seen before but just got back from body shop from really minor labor day fender-bender. You know what 5 mph bump does to them. The rosso corsa red ’81 I just bought from buddy that redid over 15 year period then decided he’d fallen out of love with it. He owns body shop & is hardcore Harley rider, prefers that over the car. This one’s called red hot chilli pepper. -TRK
