It’s Saturday. With every professional sport canceling games across the board, I had a feeling that it was only a matter of time before Nascar followed along. A couple days ago they announced the upcoming race in Atlanta would be run without spectators. That decision didn’t last very long. By the next day they changed their position and decided to postpone both Sunday’s Atlanta race and next Sunday’s race in Homestead-Miami. It’s disappointing, but I get it.
And sadly, I just checked on the status of this Sunday’s big annual Corvette show in Venice and it has been cancelled. Damn, that one hurts.
Guess that leaves me no choice—time to make some tacos and margaritas and spend the afternoon in the pool.

WILSON!
It’s Sunday! Well, we’ve made the decision to stay on the safe side and stop going to restaurants for the remainder of our stay in Florida. With just about every event, school, church, and sport cancelled or postponed, it just makes sense.
I hear that back home the horrid white stuff is coming down. After spending the entire day comfortably floating around the pool in the 90 degree heat, it’s hard to even picture snow. And I kinda like it that way.

Saw this picture of Tom Hanks recently and thought it was pretty funny…
