Two Suns in the Sunset

It’s Friday! We have some heat & humidity moving in for the weekend. I love the heat but I can definitely do without the humidity.

A few weeks ago Roger Waters released a new live performance of “Mother” and has now followed it up with “Two Suns in the Sunset” from Pink Floyd’s The Final Cut album. Again, if you’re Pink Floyd or Roger Waters fan then you won’t want to miss this!

With so many states experiencing a surge in coronavirus cases, the debate over mandatory masks in public is heating up again. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big deal to ask people to wear a mask while going to public places. But what about my freedoms? We restrict freedoms in the interest of public safety every day. That’s why you can’t drink & drive. It’s why you can’t smoke in public places. It’s why you have to wear a seat belt. I could go on.

Anyway, it’s Friday and I’m tired so I’m going to wrap this up by saying the babes & jokes are doubled… enjoy!

Nascar Part 2

It’s Wednesday. I was very pleased to hear the news that the U.S. Attorney and the FBI concluded their investigation and determined that Bubba Wallace was not the target of a hate crime. The FBI report concludes, and photographic evidence confirms, that the garage door pull rope fashioned like a noose had been positioned there since as early as last fall. This was obviously well before the 43 team’s arrival and garage assignment. NASCAR senior vice president and chief communications officer, Eric Nyquist, said that the sanctioning body’s own investigation was continuing.

TALLADEGA, Ala. — After a careful investigation, U.S. Attorney Jay Town and the FBI report the noose found in Bubba Wallace’s garage had been there since October 2019.

U.S. Attorney Town and FBI Special Agent Johnnie Sharp, Jr. conducted numerous interviews regarding the situation at Talladega Superspeedway. After a thorough review of the facts and evidence surrounding this event, they concluded that no federal crime was committed.

The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week, the statement said.
