Horrid White Stuff

It’s Monday. The snow fell most of the day yesterday but only amounted to an inch or two. Thanks to the ongoing pandemic there really wasn’t anywhere to go or anything to do but stay indoors anyway. The Bears are done for the season and Nascar is still several weeks away from preseason racing, so there wasn’t much to watch. I did manage to catch some of the Mecum Muscle Car Auction in Kissimme, Florida. They auctioned off Carroll Shelby’s personal 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra roadster for an incredible $5.94 million. It’s quite expensive to own an original Cobra, but now we know how much it takes to own Carroll’s personal Cobra.

Oh, and there will be more amateur photos this week.

Remember Summer?

It’s Sunday! Remember summer? One of my readers came across this beautiful 1967 Corvette in Sunfire yellow while out on a walk last summer. He snapped a photo and decided to wait until the dead of winter to send it in.

And here we are in the middle of winter dealing with frigid temperatures, snow, and ice. His photo is a perfect reminder of warmer days ahead. And I can’t wait for that!

Keep: I stumbled across your site in 1996. Lot of water under the bridge and many summers have passed. First time I ever submitted anything. Took this pic last summer whilst on a walk, thinking at the time that I would send this summery image in the dead of winter. Stay Well. -A Fan

Avalanche!

It’s Saturday! When you get a little more than you bargained for…
