It’s Friday! Get the grill ready and pick up plenty to drink because July is here and it’s the July 4th weekend!

I checked out the weekly car show in Plainfield last Tuesday and I was damn glad I did because it was Corvette night! Even better, the first car I saw was a new C8 in Rapid Blue! And even better than that, there were 4 more C8s at the show! A total of 5 C8s and a hell of a lot of other Vettes in attendance put a grin on my face that has yet to wear off. My absolute favorite? The C8 in Red Mist Metallic pictured above. As for my other favorites from the show, you can check ’em out in the collection below.

It’s Thursday. One of my readers was recently in Vegas and experienced 118 degrees. I’ve never been in heat like that, but they always follow that up with the claim that it’s somehow not that bad because it’s a dry heat. Here in Illinois we get a handful of days in the low to mid 90s but it’s often accompanied by humidity. I can tell you from experience that humidity when paired with heat really-really sucks, so I’d be inclined to go along with Kevin and take the dry heat over humidity.

Keep, I lived in Las Vegas for 20 years but moved to Florida to be closer to my parents. I was in Las Vegas this past weekend and I can tell you that dry and hot beat anything with humidity! -Kevin
