Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025

It’s Wednesday. Barrett-Jackson is in Scottsdale, Arizona, this week for their annual collector car auction. In addition to hundreds of classic cars, this year they have a unique group of vehicles known as the Dr. Stewart Berkowitz collection. You may recognize a few of these from television and film. In the video featured today you can get a quick look at a few of the more popular cars going to auction. A word of warning, though. These can be very nostalgia-inducing vehicles!

Chicken Soup Candy Drops

It’s Tuesday. No, it’s not April 1st. Progresso Soup Drops are a real product and are made to be eaten like candy. That’s right, chicken soup flavored candy drops. Yum, right?

Progresso Soup Drops are an actual product. The chicken soup-flavored hard candy drops come in an ersatz soup can with the tagline “Soup You Can Suck On.”

“When you’re sick, nothing is truly more reassuring than Chicken Noodle Soup. So, we thought, why stop at the soup bowl? We took the beloved flavors of our Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup and packed them into a fun, savory candy Soup Drop for a totally new way to enjoy the taste you love whenever and wherever you want.”

Progresso Soup drops join a long list of questionable foods like Thanksgiving ice cream and Jones Turkey and Gravy Soda. The limited-edition drops are available exclusively online during the month of January in celebration of National Soup Month.

Brrr!

It’s Monday. Our old friend Polar Vortex is back and wreaking havoc across the upper Midwest and East coast. Here in Illinois we have single digit temperatures with double digit negative windchills. In short, it’s fucking cold. We have a couple more days of it before it retreats back up to Canada where it belongs.

Since it was brutally cold outside, we spent much of the weekend working indoors on my office. While she was doing the painting, I’ve been going through everything, cleaning some items and throwing away others. I’m finding things that I didn’t even know I had. Maybe next time we shouldn’t wait 20 years!

I caught the movie 1917 on Netflix over the weekend. It was about two British soldiers who are tasked to deliver a message to call off a doomed attack during World War I. The soldiers must cross enemy territory to reach the regiment, risking their lives to save hundreds of their fellow soldiers. I enjoyed it and highly recommend checking it out.

Stay warm everyone.
