Slap!

It’s Wednesday. Slapping competitions have become a thing lately. They’re usually between two burly guys who take turns slapping the shit out of one another until someone gets knocked out or concedes. Not exactly my kind of thing. Personally, I’d much rather watch a different type of slapping competition… like say the one featured in the video today.

The Problem with Jon Stewart

It’s Tuesday. This is an excerpt from a recent episode of The Problem with Jon Stewart on AppleTV. I’ve seen it bouncing around the Internet for several days now but I didn’t take the time to watch it until yesterday. State Sen. Nathan Dahm (R-OK) has penned several bills loosening gun restrictions, including the nation’s first anti-red flag law against restricting gun access to those deemed dangerous. In this segment, John Stewart interviews the Oklahoma Senator on the issue of gun control. I was impressed with both of them, especially with the manor in which they conducted the interview. There was no yelling or name calling, just a mature discussion on two opposing views of gun control. It’s only 8-minutes long. Give it a watch if you’re interested.

Fizzle!

It’s Monday. That is not my picture. We were supposed to get a nasty snow storm on Friday but it completely fizzled out. I saw a couple snowflakes but that was it. Instead the storm hit further south-east near Indiana where it left motorists in the ditches along I57. I wasn’t disappointed in the least. Now that it’s March I’m hoping we’re done with the horrid white stuff.

I caught a few movies over the weekend. A buddy and I saw Cocaine Bear in the theater Saturday afternoon. If you’ve seen the trailer then you probably have an idea just how bizarre this movie was. It was based on a true story about a bunch of cocaine that was dropped from a plane over a Georgia forest and ingested by a 175-pound black bear. I’m guessing everything from that point on was greatly embellished or even completely fabricated, but it was a whole lot of fun to watch!

I also saw the action movie Bullet Train and and Adam Sandler’s Hussle. Both were very good and can be seen on Netflix.

Monday… back to work.
