It’s Wednesday. I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Ours here in Illinois was exactly as predicted—damn cold with snow and high winds. When handing out candy to all the Trick-or-Treaters, I always count to see how it compares to last year. We usually get around 130 kids, but this year we had only 76. No doubt due to the nasty weather.
One of my readers sent in the photo featured today. I saw similar vehicles around our town decked out with skeletons as well. I wanted to put a skeleton in my passenger seat, but I never got around to it. I guess it’ll have to wait until next year because, guess what, it’s November already!

Good morning, here in Tucson I saw a jeep with a giant skeleton going for a ride. It took me a while to get a picture, but I thought you would enjoy it. After I got this pic I did a google search, and I think there is a car club doing this in Tucson, because there are multiple jeeps in Tucson with similar displays. -CV

It’s Tuesday. When I was a kid the worse thing that could happen to ruin Halloween was the cold. Not rain, not heat, but a temperature cold enough that your mom makes you wear a coat over your costume. After putting in all that time choosing the perfect costume or making one of your own, your mom makes you cover it up with a coat. Nothing was worse. Well, that’s what Halloween has in store for kids in Illinois this year. The forecast for tonight shows temperatures dipping below freezing with periods of light snow and windy conditions which will make it feel like only 20 degrees. Even the zombies are smart enough not to come out into that.

It’s Thursday. Just a little levity to help get your day started right…
