Thanksgiving Slasher

It’s Thursday. Nothing says Thanksgiving like a good ‘ole slasher movie, right? One week from now everyone will be enjoying their Thanksgiving dinner. Instead of rushing out to the stores in search of Christmas bargains, why not check out Eli Roth’s latest film, “Thanksgiving”.

What started as a fictitious movie trailer from “Grindhouse” has now become a real movie that’s apparently very good. 2007’s “Grindhouse” was a double feature co-directed by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. It notably started with five movie trailers that were all done by guest directors. “Machete” ended up being a real movie in 2010, Edgar Wright still needs to do “Don’t” and Jason Eisener made “Hobo with a Shotgun” in 2011.

Finally in 2023, Eli Roth’s fictional “Thanksgiving” is now a real movie, and critics have given it thumbs up across the board. It stars Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas brooks, Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon and Amanda Barker.

Excuse Me, Sir…

It’s Wednesday. If you’ve ever owned a cat then you know. You know exactly what they’re like and they’re unlike any other pet. They’re equipped with four sets of tiny sharpened retractable blades, affectionately known as murder mittens. They get into your stuff. This can not be overstated enough. They will destroy your stuff, seemingly for no other reason than they can. What you feed them one day can be completely rejected the next. They’re awake when you are not—and they will let you know often. When seemingly at rest, they can spontaneously erupt into a flurry of activity. They kill anything smaller than themselves that moves—and then bring it back into the house to disembowel it directly in front of you. They decide when and where you my pet them. They bite, often—and generally without warning or provocation.

If you can get past all of this, then cats are for you.

Badass C2

It’s Tuesday. It’s called Nighthawk and it’s the latest build from Nostalgia Hot Rods in Las Vegas. If you’re a fan of the C2 Corvette then you’ll want to see (and hear) this highly modified widebody 427-powered beast!
