It’s Monday. It’s always a little bittersweet when the Olympics wrap up. For a couple of weeks there’s this daily rush of drama, pride, underdog stories, and those edge-of-your-seat moments you end up talking about all day. We saw record-setting performances and memorable moments across multiple events. Then suddenly it’s over, the flame goes out, and the world feels just a bit quieter. Team USA had a strong showing overall, racking up 33 total medals and finishing second behind Norway’s 41. Not too shabby at all.
It was pretty cold here in Illinois over the weekend so we spent the majority of it indoors where it was warm and toasty. Hot chicken soup, grilled cheese, and plenty of hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps also helped.
