It’s Friday! I get the feeling that Mother Nature is just playing with me. It’s February in Illinois—this is supposed to be peak “why do I live here?” season and for a few glorious days we were walking around in upper 50s and even mid 60s like it was late April. Windows were cracked open, snow was melting, and neighbors were dusting off their grills like we’d officially survived winter. I’m out there thinking, “Okay… maybe this year won’t be so bad.”

And now? Boom. Back to the low 30s with snow like none of that ever happened.

What the hell was that? A weather teaser trailer? A free sample of spring before they snatched it right back? I swear living here is just a constant emotional rollercoaster for Winter-haters like me. Damn.
