Daytona 500

It’s Monday. Tyler Reddick won the 2026 Daytona 500 in dramatic fashion, passing for the lead on the final lap and surviving a late crash to grab the checkers in NASCAR’s biggest race. Driving for 23XI Racing, he led only the last lap but capitalized on chaos in the closing miles to beat Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (2nd) and Joey Logano (3rd), with Chase Elliott finishing 4th. The race featured multiple wrecks and a wild finish typical of Daytona, officially kicking off the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. Hot damn tamale baby, NASCAR is back and all is good in the universe again!

Did everyone survive Valentine’s Day? I think I did it right this year. I grabbed the girlfriend her favorite pink roses and took her to a seafood place that we’ve been talking about forever. The food was so good we briefly considered ordering a second dinner, and the only thing that got buttered more than the scallops was my reputation as a halfway decent boyfriend. All in all, solid night, no complaints.
