Jetson Race

It’s Tuesday. The Jetson ONE is a sleek, single-seat personal eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft that I’ve featured several times throughout its development. Designed by the Swedish company Jetson Aero, it’s built for simplicity and fun rather than long-distance travel. Made from lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber, it’s powered by eight electric motors and can reach speeds of around 63 mph with a flight time of up to 20 minutes per charge. The aircraft includes safety features like a ballistic parachute, hands-free hover mode, and obstacle avoidance sensors. It’s aimed at giving people the thrill of flight without needing a traditional pilot’s license—essentially, it’s just for fun!

Jetson Aero recently held The Jetson Air Games, a competitive aerial-sport format designed to transform personal air mobility into a high-energy spectacle. It debuted with a public showcase at the UP.Summit 2025. The event featured a four-craft formation flight and a high-speed pylon race using the company’s single-seat aircraft Jetson ONE. Basically, the Air Games aim to bring what you might think of as “Formula 1 of the skies” to the eVTOL world while showing off the capabilities of the Jetson ONE. Agile aircraft fly through defined aerial courses, perform precision maneuvers, and race to the finish line with both pilot skill and machine performance on display. Check out the video to see the the Air Games in action.
