Times Of Change

It’s Monday. Halloween’s over, the clocks have been turned back, and November has arrived—fall is fading fast as winter starts to move in. That’s a lot of change packed into the last few days, huh?

I hope everyone had a delightfully ghoulish Halloween! We had a great time handing out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters—all 155 of them. Afterward, we took one final spooky cruise through a few neighborhoods we hadn’t hit yet. Once again, we were blown away by the incredible haunted displays this year. And, of course, we’re already looking forward to next year!

I had a nice lazy Sunday snacking all afternoon watching the Bears game against the Bengals and the final NASCAR race of the season. Starting with the Bears, they pulled off a dramatic 47–42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, with a last-second 58-yard touchdown from Caleb Williams to Colston Loveland sealing the victory with 17 seconds left. For once, it was nice not coming up short after a true nailbiter of a game.

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship at Phoenix Raceway delivered a dramatic and fitting finale to the season. Ryan Blaney took the checkered flag after a wild overtime finish, muscling past Brad Keselowski in the final corner to score the win. But it was Kyle Larson who captured the championship, pulling off a stunning victory despite never leading a single lap! Denny Hamlin, who dominated much of the day, saw his title hopes slip away after a bad pit decision shuffled him to the middle of the pack. The race had everything—tight battles, last-minute cautions, and high-stakes strategy—all playing out in what will be Phoenix’s final year hosting the championship before it moves back to Homestead-Miami in 2026.

All in all, a damn good weekend.
