It’s Tuesday. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. We got lucky and actually had some really nice weather. We had some of my girlfriend’s family over for a small get together. Nothing fancy. We don’t see them very much these days, so it was nice spending the holiday with them.

So here we go, with Memorial Day now behind us, it’s time to get outside and enjoy the summer weather. I’m looking forward to cooking out on the grill, outdoor restaurants, concerts, day trips in the Vette, car shows, and more car shows. It’s time to bring on the heat!

It’s Monday. On this Memorial Day we remember all those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Quite simply, without them we wouldn’t have the freedom and privileges we enjoy here in the greatest country in the world. Thank you. To each and every one.

It’s Friday! Here we go—it’s Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial beginning of summer! It was a long frigid winter, but that doesn’t matter now because summer and all things hot have arrived! It’s time to break out the grill, get a beer or/and some mixed drinks, and invite some friends over to enjoy being together outside again!

I’m also looking forward to Sunday, the high holy day of racing! It kicks off with the Indianapolis 500 and then continues with NASCAR’s longest race, the Coca-Cola 600! Kyle Larson will attempt to run both races again this year. After racing in the Indy 500, he has to jump into a plane to travel from Indiana down to Concord, North Carolina, to jump into a stock car and run another 600 miles! That’s a total of 1,100 miles in one day at speeds of 200 MPH or more! It’s exhausting just thinking about it, but it should be fun to watch!

Oh! For the first time ever, Oscar Meyer will have all six Wienermobiles in its current fleet at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They will compete in what they’re calling the inaugural Wienie 500! Each of the six Wienermobile represents a different regional hot dog. I’ll be rooting for the Chicago Dog, of course! Which dog will reign supreme? Stream the Wienie 500 on the Fox Sports app Friday at 2 PM est.

I have a new amateur photo to share from one of my readers. I also have the usual Friday double babes & double jokes. Not a bad way to kick off the holiday weekend, eh! Enjoy!
