It’s Monday. When I put my Vette away last season it was badly in need of a deep cleaning. It really needed everything cleaned—the engine compartment, the interior, the wheels, and the entire exterior. So when I pulled it out of storage a couple weeks ago, I decided that it was time to turn it over to a professional car detailer. I had heard good things about a local guy who has been detailing cars for years, so I gave him a call and shortly afterward dropped off the Vette.
The next day I got the call that it was done. The problem was it had been raining all morning and I was concerned about the roads being wet. The last thing anyone with a freshly detailed car wants to do is take it for a drive in the rain. He understood, but he said the roads were dry and he had a Camaro ZL1 coming in shortly and didn’t have room for both cars. Having no choice, I drove over to his place and thankfully he was right, the roads were dry.
I got there and was immediately impressed with the results. It was absolutely beautiful. He had used a Ceramic Coating on the body and the shine was unbelievable. Every inch, inside and out, was perfect. I wish I had done it years ago because it literally looks brand new again.
I happily paid the man and got the hell out of there because more rain was on the way. It wasn’t cheap, but it was so worth it. And best of all, I got it home dry!

More Than A Feeling
It’s Tuesday. In 1976 the band Boston released its debut album. It contained the song More Than A Feeling, which would go on to be one of their biggest hits. However, did you know at that time Boston wasn’t actually a band? There’s quite an interesting story behind the song and the band. Check out the video featured today to find out how Boston fooled their record company and the back-story behind one of its most monumental hits.
