Ughhh…

It’s Monday. They tricked us. I was watching the Bears game against the Packers on Sunday afternoon and something odd was happening. I didn’t recognize it at first, but the Bears showed up and started playing well. I honestly didn’t see that coming. It was a refreshing approach that Bears fans clearly appreciated. Though slightly confused, we slowly became emboldened as the game progressed and the Bears continued to make plays. Running the ball worked! Passes were being completed! We slowly came to realize that this game wasn’t going to be the usual blowout. It was actually an entertaining and competitive game that, dare I say, they might actually win! It was definitely looking good! Some might even say incredible! Holy crap, we got this! We got this! Holy-friggin-christ, WE GOT THIS! WE’RE GOING TO BEAT THE PACKERS!

And then Lucy showed up. Lost by 1.

Is it Nascar season yet?

Friday Amateur

It’s Friday! Well, now that Nascar has closed out the 2024 season and awarded the championship to Joey Logano, my options for Sunday sports entertainment are reduced to Bears football. If you’ve seen them play this year, or nearly any year in the past other than 1985, then you can understand my pain. And to twist the knife even deeper, they play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. So, yeah.

What else is going on? The days are rapidly getting shorter, the trees are bare, it’s dark & gloomy by late afternoon, and it’s getting increasingly colder. All of those things sum up perfectly why I hate this time of year. Ugh.

It’s time to wrap this week up so I’ll mention that I have a new reader submitted amateur photo to share with all of you today. And of course, there’s also double babes & double jokes. Enjoy…

Thanksgiving Skeletons

It’s Thursday. Thanksgiving is still two weeks from today, but people have already begun decorating their homes with Christmas lights and inflatable snowmen and such. Where’s the love for Thanksgiving, I ask? Well, every year there’s one house in my neighborhood that has an actual Thanksgiving display. And when Thanksgiving rolls around, they take a couple skeletons from the Halloween display and dress ’em up as a pilgrims and native Americans! The scene varies every year, but they always come up with something clever or funny specifically for Thanksgiving. It’s just refreshing seeing an actual Thanksgiving display instead of jumping right into all the Christmas stuff.
