It’s Monday. We’re having some really nice weather for October. I spent most of my weekend outdoors and enjoyed every minute of it. It was too nice on Sunday to be inside, so I missed the Bears game (they won) and recorded the Nascar race in Talladega, which I’m watching as I write this. I spent the majority of my Sunday out at the 38th Morris Lions Club Fall Classic car show at the Grundy County Fairgrounds. With over 2,000 cars in attendance, a huge swap meet, and tons of food, it’s a show that I look forward to every year. My favorite part of the show is easily the diverse variety of cars. I always see cars that I’ve never seen before. I took a ton of photos, of course, and you can expect to see them later in the week.

The girlfriend spent the weekend in Tempe, Arizona, in 115 degree heat. I would love to experience that kind of heat, but as I mentioned before, she’s very much not a fan of hot weather! However, I think she tolerated it fairly well. Her flight is delayed so she won’t get back home until early Monday morning. And I’m sure she’ll be pretty wiped out.

It’s Friday! The girlfriend is flying out to Arizona for the weekend. She’s going to visit one of her kids. Unlike myself, she’s not a fan of the heat. She gets cranky when it gets into the 90s around here during the summer. I can’t wait to hear what she thinks of triple digit heat because the Tempe area has been dealing with temperatures above 100 for months! It’s not going to be pretty.

I’m looking forward to Sunday because not only are the Bears playing the Panthers, but Nascar is at my favorite track—The Talladega Superspeedway! Woohoo! I’ll definitely break out the munchies and beer for that.
