It’s Tuesday. Holy crap it’s sweltering hot with something like 6 million percent humidity! No kidding, our temperatures here in Illinois  are in the upper 90s but it’s the ridiculous humidity levels that have made it truly miserable to be outside for any length of time. Nobody in our neighborhood is outdoors. If you do go out there, all you can hear is the collective symphony of air conditioners running at high speed. Our poor pooch, Abby, doesn’t understand why we can’t go out and play in the yard. She’s a Sheepdog and Poodle mix, so she’s built more for a cold climate. Running around out in this heat could easily overwhelm her, so I’ve been putting off playtime until the sun is nearly down.

If you’re also in the heat, stay hydrated and seek relief whenever possible. Ack!

It’s Monday. Hot. We’ve had some toasty temperatures over the weekend and it appears that this heatwave will continue into the week. No complaints here.

That was a good weekend. I took the afternoon off on Friday and went for a spin in the Corvette. It was a beautiful day, perfect for grabbing some food at Ace Drive-In where the rootbeer is always cold and tasty. On Saturday I drove up to Berwyn for their annual Route 66 Car Show. As always, it was a fantastic show with more cars than I could possibly count. I’ll feature my photos from the show in the next day or two. Later that night the girlfriend and I went out for dinner with a buddy. After that we settled in for the Nascar night race in Daytona, which turned out to be a pretty exciting race. And then on Sunday we had to go to a family dinner and filled up on pasta, meatballs, and calamari. Now that I type this I’m realizing that all I really did over the weekend was eat. Had a good time doing it, though!

It’s Friday! The heat returns this weekend here in Illinois with temperatures in the 90s and a considerable amount of humidity. The 90s sound good to me, but that humidity is damn nasty.

This Saturday is the big Route 66 car shown in Berywn, Illinois. I’ve been to that show a few times over the years and it only gets larger and better every time. And then later Saturday night Nascar returns to Daytona for some high speed racing under the lights! Definitely looking forward to Saturday!

I’ve featured automotive goodness the past two Fridays, so I thought it was time to mix it up and go with some amateur goodness! Double babes, double jokes, and new amateur goodness… enjoy!
