It’s Monday. Hot. We’ve had some toasty temperatures over the weekend and it appears that this heatwave will continue into the week. No complaints here.
That was a good weekend. I took the afternoon off on Friday and went for a spin in the Corvette. It was a beautiful day, perfect for grabbing some food at Ace Drive-In where the rootbeer is always cold and tasty. On Saturday I drove up to Berwyn for their annual Route 66 Car Show. As always, it was a fantastic show with more cars than I could possibly count. I’ll feature my photos from the show in the next day or two. Later that night the girlfriend and I went out for dinner with a buddy. After that we settled in for the Nascar night race in Daytona, which turned out to be a pretty exciting race. And then on Sunday we had to go to a family dinner and filled up on pasta, meatballs, and calamari. Now that I type this I’m realizing that all I really did over the weekend was eat. Had a good time doing it, though!
Heatwave
