It’s Monday. I hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day weekend. Have fun, but remember that today we honor and mourn the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in any of the United States Armed Forces. We owe them our respect and gratitude.
The weather really played havoc with both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday. The Indy 500 had a 4 hour rain delay and the Coca-Cola 600 was interrupted by rain as well. In the Indy 500 it was Josef Newgarden who pulled off a last lap pass to win his second 500. Nascar driver Kyle Larson ran very well through much of the 500, but ultimately finished 18th. He then hopped into a private jet and flew down to the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina, to relieve Justin Allgaier. As I write this the race is under a red flag due to rain and lightning. It doesn’t look good for a restart anytime soon.
