Heard any good news lately?

It’s Friday! That was a quick week. Having last Monday off certainly helped speed things up, eh? I think here in Illinois we have some rain moving in for Saturday. Might be a good opportunity to check out a movie or two. Sunday looks good, though.

I just heard that Nascar’s Stewart-Haas Racing will shut down at the conclusion of the 2024 season. Stewart-Haas Racing’s four-car Cup team currently has the Number 4, 10, 14 and 41 Fords for drivers Josh Berry, Noah Gragson, Chase Briscoe and Ryan Preece, respectively. There’s also two Xfinity Series teams with Cole Custer and Riley Herbst. His decision to get out of Nascar doesn’t surprise me. Tony has been very outspoken concerning Nascar and how they manage the sport. He’s also been more involved with NHRA lately, so that may be part of his decision as well. Either way, losing a large team like SHR is going to be a big blow to Nascar.

Anyway, I have a new amateur photo to share with all of you today. I also have double babes & double jokes to go along with that. Enjoy!

Stupid Is As Stupid Does

It’s Thursday. Let me see if I got this right. So a guy has a suspended drivers license. He has a video court appearance to get his license back. He then participates in the hearing while driving. Seriously?

In Ann Arbor, Michigan, it was time for Corey Harris to join his court hearing via Zoom. Once Harris connected to the Zoom, Judge Cedric Simpson asked Harris whether he was driving at the time. Harris answered in the affirmative, telling the judge he was just pulling in to his doctor’s office.

Thing is, Harris’s hearing was about his suspended driver’s license. A public defender quickly asked for the trial to be adjourned and resume in the future, ‘possibly up to four weeks if the court would allow.’

The judge responded by saying, “So maybe I don’t understand something. This is a driving while license suspended [case], and he was just driving, and he didn’t have a license.”

Judge Simpson cancelled Harris’s bond and sent him directly to jail. Wonder if he drove himself there.

Auto & Bike Goodness

It’s Wednesday. Summer is here and one of the best things about summer is all the car shows that start popping up. One of my readers recently attended the Abergavenny Steam Rally in Abergavenny, United Kingdom, and sent in a few photos from the festival. Go ahead and check out the gallery below and if you would like to see more, check out the Abergavenny Steam Rally facebook page.

Keep, My 1965 Ariel Leader once again managed the trip down to the Abergavenny Steam Rally. Lots of the cars there were the same, but attached some pics of ones that looked really nice – and two Corvettes of course. Will attach them over a couple of emails.
